Overview: There is inadequate research into technology strategies and change in the banking sector of developing countries. Attention is given to the context of a developing economy that aims to advance into the international banking arena through the introduction and use of new technology that is consistent with global electronic banking services. Although banking has been established. This paper focuses on presenting findings on strategies for IT and change in the State Bank of India (SBI). The findings reveal how Sudanese banks are adopting different IT strategies, which reflect an absence of any agreed comprehensive or coherent IT strategy to implementing change in the banking sector.
