Overview: Instant gratification is still not part of implementing ERP, but neither are massive up-front organizational changes; large software, maintenance, and licensing costs; consulting services running at a multiple of the licensing fees; implementations stretching for nearly a year, if not multiple years; and a time-to-benefit that stretches patience and shortens careers.
