Overview: Distro needed to make better use of its more than 235,000 square feet of warehouse space, improve the accuracy of its highly complex shipping procedures, and improve the productivity of its warehouse. The company also desired to improve customer satisfaction. As part of an overall business process improvement plan, the company opted to implement a Radio Frequency (RF)-enabled Warehouse Management System (WMS) at its four distribution centers, as well as a new online customer service network. Distro turned to CIBER Enterprise Solutions for help in redesigning the distribution operations for efficiency. CIBER assisted with the development and rollout of a multi-phased project plan to implement the WMS system, a Transportation Management System and CIBER's Supply Chain visibility tool, SolidVision.
