Overview: If an individual's company is like most companies, the person should focus on driving traffic to his or her Web site via advertising. If too few visitors buy something once they're there, the person blames his or her marketing program. He or she may say the media costs were too high or the clicks were junk traffic. True, some marketing campaigns will perform better than others. But in many cases, one can improve the visitor-to-buyer conversion rate just by modifying the Web site, not the marketing.
