Overview: In the decade of the nineties, people have witnessed a gradual rise in labor income of the manufacturing, service, and information sectors of the economy. This has followed a past trend and if that past is anything to go by, people will continue to expect labor income to rise over time. Things are quite different in the agricultural sector, especially for the small farmer. Labor income for the small farmer particularly, and the agricultural sector generally, has either remained stagnant or decreased over time.
