Overview: El Al, the Israeli national airline, runs mainframe environments and around 30 IBM AIX-based platforms for its core business operations. El Al needed to control the proliferation of physical servers; improve ease of management and reduce need for routine administration; and increase flexibility and speed of response to new requirements. El Al Implemented two IBM eSeries xSeries 445 servers, with a total of 24 CPUs, running VMware ESX Server, to act as a platform for server consolidation.
