Overview: The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has recognized the need for improved identity management and levied a mandate requiring suppliers to use Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) which enables suppliers, contractors, and the DoD to engage in trust-based communication. Exostar and IBM have developed a joint methodology focused on companies of all sizes that participate in, or interact with, the aerospace and defense supply chain. The solution provides a framework to evaluate, plan and implement processes and technologies to address the identity management challenge.
