Overview: Flash 3D is an advanced reconstruction algorithm that facilitates interpretation of nuclear medicine examinations by decreasing image noise and enhancing resolution, resulting in increased image quality. Available only on e.soft, Flash 3D technology is a unique reconstruction algorithm based on Ordered Subsets Expectation Maximization (OSEM) technology. Flash 3D uses a measured 3-D beam model in the iteration process. Unlike 2-D Iterative Reconstruction Techniques, Flash 3D uses the complete volume in the iterative reconstruction process in order to provide increased image quality, while maintaining the precise shape of organs and lesions.
