Overview: High Frequency ultrasound has had a large impact on the way the 25 radiologists practice in the Radiology Department at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Today, the center has 20 Sequoia systems between the main hospital campus and their six satellite offices throughout Western Washington. With the Sequoia system and its 15 MHz transducer, physicians can switch between very high frequency to lower frequencies for imaging small- and large-breasted women. The most recent option available on the Sequoia 512 ultrasound system is the Paragon Release, which is a collection of workflow and performance enhancements that significantly impact usability, functionality and reliability.
