Overview: As the only wholly-Austrian owned ski manufacturer, Blizzard Sport has been producing state-of-the-art skiing equipment since 1953. Until the end of the 1990's, Blizzard used a basic 2D design system. However, to turn this innovative idea into a successful new product quickly, Blizzard needed a more powerful development environment: 3D CAD. In order to optimize its product development - from initial drafts through tool design and Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programming, the Blizzard team decided that Pro/ENGINEER, with its integrated 3D CAD/CAM tools, was the best solution to meet its requirements.
