Overview: This paper provides new insights about where SMEs can find new business opportunities. The aim of this paper is to present the sources of opportunities and organise these sources into a model which can assist SMEs in finding opportunities. It examines the different sources of opportunities at all the relevant environmental levels. The paper concludes with a proposed model that provides a comprehensive and integrative framework for exploring business opportunities.
