Overview: No matter how spectacular an event is, however, it can't stand alone. A person can use advertising or public relations without doing a special event, but will need both advertising and public relations to make the event work. How does a person put together the right mix to make an event successful? First, the person must know what is to be accomplished. The desired outcome of event marketing is no different from that of any other marketing effort: A person will want to draw attention to the product or service, create greater awareness of it and increase sales.
