Overview: This paper describes a technology exploration of social bookmarking within a closed, corporate environment. The authors hypothesize that such a tool would be valuable for information sharing, information management, and social networking in their organization. In order to assess the value of social software, the authors have embarked upon a 6-month pilot, or trial period, where they are striving to reach critical mass through marketing strategies and targeting influential figures with large, social networks.
