Overview: Signed into law in July, 2002, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act was designed to bring confidence back to the investor markets in the wake of the corporate management and accounting scandals of the past few years. And while the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOA) has pushed companies to closely review their processes and improve their internal control procedures in order to comply with the law and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements, companies are finding that they are able to address many of the issues related to compliance With in the systems they already have, or that they can source from a single vendor.
