Overview: Many people find deadlines and budget constraints in their personal lives difficult to master. But when it comes to IT projects in a corporate setting, it seems that completing projects both on time and in budget is an exceptionally difficult feat. Part of the issue with accomplishing an IT project on time and in budget is that there are typically a number of people and tasks involved. Many of the people and tasks are reliant upon one another, building a web of interdependent events. Having just one of those events run late or over budget can cause a cascade effect that ripples through the rest of the project as well.
