Overview: Based on a questionnaire study, which includes seventy three project managers representing fifty-one construction projects of varying size, project type (e.g. housing, infrastructure), and contract form, this paper illustrates the project managers possibilities to create and distribute knowledge in and between construction projects. The results show that large construction projects performed under a design-and-build contract provide the best environment for creating and distributing knowledge by the project manager. Furthermore, project managers with little or very large experience make most efforts to create knowledge.
