Overview: Delivering effective Vocational Education and Training (VET), means adapting to a rapidly changing and increasingly complex social and business environments, and keeping up to date with technological changes. In order to maximise limited resources to achieve this response, professional development in coping with change and integrating new technologies is required. This paper outlines the rationale behind the creation of a Centre for Teaching and Learning, a special purpose unit to guide the uptake of flexible learning options within Sutherland College of TAFE in NSW.
