Overview: The present paper examines the human resource management challenges in Southern Europe as well as their effect on organizational performance. More specifically, the researchers first explored the ways in which challenges reported by study participants were faced presently through human resource management practices and then investigated the link between these practices and three measures of organizational performance. The measures of performance were productivity, service quality and profitability.
