Overview: This paper examines ethical decision making of Human Resource (HR) managers. The paper reviews the international literature and examines ethical decision making from the perspectives of teleological, deontological and virtue ethics frameworks. It is found that organisational culture, pressures from senior managers, individual interests and career maximisation and individual altruism have influences on a HR manager's ability to make ethical decisions.
