Overview: What brings strategic balance to an organization is its ability to effectively link significant goals with reflective compensation (combination of both tangible and intangible rewards) at all levels within the organization. Strategic balance comes quicker and remains longer when corporate goals focus on performance, productivity and profitability, in that sequence. However, when goals are passionately dominated by profitability, history tells those who listen that ethics, morals and legality are quickly compromised, often abandoned throughout an organization, top to bottom. In business, it all starts and ends at the top. When self, sales and service activities support corporate goals and are tactically linked in cooperative execution, strategic balance soon follows.
