Overview: Published annually, this survey provides the industry and the public with a perspective on the financial performance and activities of publicly traded companies in the fuel cell sector.

The PwC Fuel Cell List for 2005 contains 20 companies and includes, for the first time, public companies from outside North America. With the inclusion of two new public companies from Europe and one from Australia it would appear that public equity markets are becoming more attractive to fuel cell organizations outside North America. However, the increasing number of public fuel cell and hydrogen companies may simply be indicative of overall industry growth. Geographically, 17 of the 20 companies included in the survey were from North America, split almost evenly between Canada and the US.
