Overview: Proposed methodologies for the formulation of development strategy for artisan craft promotion needs careful verification as to whether they are applicable and effective in the given socio-economic environment. At the craft producers' level, it analyses- a cluster development concept; proactive use of embedded Business Development Services (BDS) offered by international retailers and NGOs; and market development concept with market segmentation and establishment of a brand name.
