Overview: The development of a due diligence framework before any merger work is completed is important. A framework will provide guidance to the due diligence team, set priorities, assist in resource allocation, assure the Board and Executive of the receiving organization, and set the tone for developing a transition plan. All mergers will have some common elements and some unique ones that need to be considered when developing and deploying a due diligence framework.
