Overview: When Most People See How Effective a Really Simple Quality Management System is, their first reaction is, "It can't be that easy." Then they start looking for the catch. When they can't find the catch, they usually wonder why someone hasn't done it like that before. ISO 9001:2000 can be satisfied with just one relatively short manual containing procedures that are never longer than a single page each. (That doesn't include work instructions, which can sometimes be two or more pages of photographs. Digital cameras have made photos the easiest, quickest and cheapest way to do work instructions). This paper describes a step by step procedure for achieving Quality Management.
