Overview: The tragedies of September 11, 2001 undoubtedly served as a wake-up call for people all over the world. Suddenly, everyone was forced to examine the personal and professional preparedness for catastrophe. Although the thousands of personal tragedies can never be totally redressed, one can marvel at how many business operations so vital to the economy miraculously regenerated their operations and continued their services and profitability. Management Associates were asked to develop a strategic disaster plan for a company concerned about the impact a disaster could have on its business operations. ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9004:2000 are among the analytical tools one is using to guide them through what needs to be addressed.
