Overview: A proactive strategizing practice in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity (deduced as the appropriate rationale under these conditions), as well as its foundation in an emerging organizational knowledge base, allows new ventures to learn from early positive and negative experiences, leading to a coherent strategizing practice over time, as well as to robust strategic and structural contexts guiding any further strategizing of the firm. The present paper contributes to strategy research by conceptualizing entrepreneurial strategizing as strategy formation under uncertainty and ambiguity.
