Overview: In this paper business rules are described from the enterprise perspective. The paper does not attempt to develop a methodology, rather to create a model that supports a range of methodological approaches. One way to think of the business rules is as a core component of a business. If it were implemented, the result would be a repository in which business rules could be stored and related to other information about the enterprise, whatever methodology were used for discovering and defining them.
