Overview: The purpose of this paper is to discuss the concepts of sustaining technological innovation and disruptive technological innovation within the context of organizational evolution, executive development for strategic leadership, and the individual behavioral characteristics associated with change. To do this the authors draw on work that they have previously done in identifying personal behavioral traits and associating them with an individual's orientation to change.
