Overview: This paper contains an integrative review of the academic literature on organizational culture, leader assessment/feedback, stages of change and goal setting. This paper integrates these four literatures in the context of effective leader development for organizations in general and the Canadian Forces specifically. A conceptual model integrating these concepts in provided as a guiding framework for a literature review on these diverse areas. The implications for cultural change and leadership development in organizations are discussed. Recommendations for assessment/feedback system design and implementation in the Canadian Forces are provided.
