Overview: In a hospitality industry, the senior executive was not getting the results desired from his senior staff. Major change initiatives were not getting traction. Strategic business units were working more independently than cooperatively with the corporate office. The basics of the function were not being handled effectively or consistently. With the senior executive, a strategic change plan was developed that addressed these issues and brought a shift in how the group/department operates, beginning with how the senior executive manages the group. A four part strategy was created to transition the group to a more aligned and effective operation, including minor restructuring.
