Overview: In 2002, Towers Perrin decided to bring the Tillinghast Actuarial Software (TAS) application to the MoSes platform. Responding to market demand for greater flexibility in financial projection software, it recognized that partnering the broad, comprehensive capabilities of TAS with the flexibility, auditability and adaptability of the open MoSes platform would be a winning combination. The paper depicts that the plans to migrate TAS to MoSes involved four steps. Move TAS to MoSes, Change the migrated application to use MoSes features, Refine the code as we work with client models and Optimize to improve the efficiency of both the TAS application and MoSes platform.
