Overview: The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) has released an Enterprise Risk Management Framework that provides an organizational focus, scope, emphasis and program to broaden risk management to an enterprise-wide emphasis and integrate it into corporate strategy. Internal audit has definitely been supportive. The interaction between what ERM and internal audit are doing is not only a process thing. The paper depicts that the company uses the same risk model, use the same language and then, with the approach to doing risk assessment, use a similar methodology.
