Overview: The primary objectives of every general construction contractor and subcontractor are to successfully deliver to the owner the specified project safely, on time, at the contract price and achieve a reasonable profit in return for performance of its work. Similarly, no subcontractor, regardless of skill and experience in its specialty, can perform its work successfully without the corresponding measure of cooperation and leadership of a competent general contractor. This paper shows how both should seek a business relationship on which they can depend.
