Overview: To learn the use of a different tool to manage business rules and to properly integrate it with the BPM engine does not make life easier. As an alternative, the paper proposes an elegant way to address processes, separation of concerns, and the use of business rules starting from graphical process models. Transparent, easy to manage, and mathematically sound solutions are obtained; in addition, rules about rules (metarules) can be used together with a rule management workflow system, just as business rules are used for business workflow. The paper depicts how business rules should be combined with workflow.
