Overview: All retirees face challenges in managing their health care coverage. For those aged 65 and over, Medicare covers much of the cost of care, with the notable exceptions of prescription drugs and long-term care. But as drug therapies have grown in importance in recent years, seniors have become increasingly vocal about this Medicare shortcoming.
