Overview: Expatriate and Third Country National assignees is generally key people with particular skills that enable the international company to function on a global basis. It is important that adequate healthcare is made available to them from day one of their assignment, and this need is particular in a more hostile environment where: they are exposed to a greater risk of accident or illness and the standard of local treatment may not be adequate. The paper depicts that without proper regard for the nationalities and locations involved, many health care issues may not be addressed, and indeed, additional issues could arise.
