Overview: Improving supply/demand fundamentals will allow real estate to move from the recession to the recovery stage of the property cycle. As is well known, changes in the cycle will not be uniform. Certain sectors and markets should move quickly into recovery ahead of the national market. Others will lag. The goal of the RREEF Property Cycle Monitor is to provide a strategic, forward looking approach to tracking cyclical shifts in the property markets in order to identify those metro markets that we believe will be among the first to recover and those that may under-perform broader trends.
