Overview: Based in Allen, Texas, Sage Telecom is the third largest telephone company in Texas, with over a half-million customers in 11 states. Sage Telecom needed a better source for operational data to help it control costs, and business intelligence to help it better serve customers. It created two data warehouses using versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating systems. This enabled the ability to validate inter-carrier billing.
