Overview: Medical logistics - the purchase and delivery of supplies and equipment, along with related facilities management - plays a crucial role for any health care organization. The DOD looks to its Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) program for a logistics strategy that meets MHS' needs - and thus improves delivery of health care to service members, their families, and retirees. EDS and DMLSS agreed to use a Joint Application Development (JAD)/Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach to meet DMLSS' aggressive schedule of application development and integration with existing systems.
