Overview: The client is a leading information technology company with products for healthcare delivery. The challenge was to design and develop a centralized database and a user friendly front end to assist pharmacist to dispense drug to outpatients facilitating online adjudication and clinical alerts using FDB. Using client server architecture, power builder, Oracle on IBM AIX server and Seagate crystal reports, the Wipro team designed and developed a centralized database and a user friendly front end to assist pharmacist. The application linked all the outpatient pharmacies and had the following features: user friendly GUI for pharmacist application distributed across various pharmacy outlets, role based security etc.
