Overview: The cGMPs for the 21st Century emphasize Process Analytical Technology (PAT) to address production and quality assurance issues with the goal of helping manufacturers to unearth hearty, resourceful data to be proactive to production and quality issues. PAT aims to increase the likelihood of defect-free pharmaceuticals, and incorporating PAT will help manufacturers meet regulatory targets and increase profits. However, manufacturers need tools to connect resources to production processes. A manufacturing execution system (MES) is the ideal software tool for aligning multiple business initiatives - as well as the significant IT resources manufacturers already have invested.
