Overview: The focus of this research is to better understand the role of speculators and their impact on the supplier manufacturer relationships. Speculators, using Business to Business exchanges (B2B), have attempted over the last several years to provide supply for the non commodity goods. Through this report it is hoped to elucidate some aspects of how speculative markets for non commodity goods might behave and the impact they will have on the use of the long term contracts for supply.
