Overview: Effective managers have always known to manage by process - the job of management is to define activities that are necessary, to organize those activities in a logical way, and to link corporate processes together synergistically. The whole NetSpeed versus process argument is founded on the maxims that the pace of change is frenetic, that near real-time decision making is now required, and that there is no longer any time to do things perfectly the first time. But all this means is that the processes that allow a company to prosper in a NetSpeed environment must be designed around these realities.
