Overview: Investor relations activity is a relatively new process not only for companies, but also for governments, especially those of emerging countries. The main evidence for this is that most of the investment promotion agencies, in countries where they exist, were created in the last four years. Public or private entities need investment to develop their projects and the investors' community is excellent for that purpose. However, the decision to direct resources to a certain enterprise is not only linked to the profitability offered by the allocated capital, but is also related to the quality of available information to investors. This paper enables current and potential investors to better evaluate investment decisions.
