Overview: The paper focuses on the integration of macroscopic demand modeling with microscopic traffic simulation. First the characteristics of both approaches are described. Then various aspects of the integrated data model are highlighted: a geographically detailed node-link graph that and serves for location based data storage; interactive editors and data structures for intersection geometry and signal timing that are relationally embedded in the node-link-network; the automated generation of microscopic simulation input from the macroscopic model.
