Overview: This article focuses on and explains a medium and long-term research programme PSA Peugeot Citroen has undertaken, designed to explore and then build expertise in the various technologies that will open the door to the cost-effective introduction of automotive fuel cells. The first is with France's Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). It covers the creation of a network of technical skills to improve understanding of the basic principles of fuel cell technology, including the cell itself, reforming and hydrogen storage.
