Overview: For over 25 years, Pat Burnett of Peshastin Hi-Up Growers near Wenatchee, Washington has been packing, storing and transferring his fruit with plywood harvest bins. Like Burnett, most growers around the Wenatchee Valley and beyond have been using plywood for decades. After its introduction in the mid-1950s, nearly all agricultural producers made the switch from wooden and slatted bins to the newer, more economical plywood-fabricated bins.
