Overview: The paper described here addresses improvement of energy efficiency and performance of unitary air-conditioning equipment, an equipment category that is used for cooling in roughly three-quarters of commercial building floor space. While the paper's main focus was delivering maximum energy savings benefits at a minimum cost premium, the increasing importance of moisture control in all commercial air-conditioned environments made the focus on this issue also necessary.
