Overview: Many segments of the hotel community do not recognize the importance of technology in hotel management. Equally, the industry has been unable to communicate a common and consistent vision of its requirements to the vendor community. A new approach is needed in order to facilitate the development of next-generation; customer-centric systems that will better meet the needs of the global hotel community. This white paper describes the Hotel Technology- Next Generation (HTNG) initiative, which aims to define a new approach to providing systems and technology services at the property, brand, management company, and ownership levels, worldwide.
