Overview: The installation of duplex chillers has helped increase cooling capacity and maximizes the efficiency of the existing plant at the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus on the east side of downtown Baltimore. The campus includes a world-renowned hospital, one of the nation's premiere medical schools, a school of nursing and a large number of medical research facilities. The urban campus supports the medical institution's missions of health care, education and research. On this site since 1879, Johns Hopkins is Maryland's largest private employer and has been a prominent member of the international medical scene for over a century.
